Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity Limited

Helen Rollason Cancer Charity is dedicated to supporting people whose lives are touched by cancer. Our support centres in Essex, London and Hertfordshire are vital in helping people living with cancer. The centres offer a range of complementary therapies to patients in an environment of peace and tranquility, including counselling, reflexology, aromatherapy, manual lymphatic drainage and support groups. The centres are for patients with all types of cancer at all stages, whether newly diagnosed or longer term, throughout and after completion of treatment.Founded in 1999, the charity is the legacy of BBC broadcaster Helen Rollason, whose vision was:

“Good quality of life while coping with cancer is the most important gift a sick person can receive. It should be available to everyone.”

Providing support for cancer patients’ emotional well-being alongside their medical treatment continues to be at the core of the charity’s mission.

We also support research and clinical drugs trials relating to cancer with an annual grant made to Broomfield Hospital and The North Middlesex Hospital.

Dear Diane, I unfortunately never got to meet you but Rowan and my niece Keyleigh were best friends from the moment they met studying art. I heard many stories of their nights out together and Keyleigh always said how welcoming you and Kevin were when she stayed over. I hope it gives comfort to Kevin, Rowan and the family through the messages here and on Facebook to know how loved you were. Rest peacefully. Ian x

Our dearest friend and neighbour, we can't describe in words how you are going to be missed and no longer in our lives. When you moved to Bluebell Walk we were lucky to have you, Kevin and Rowan as our neighbours. You were so kind and friendly and became a very special friend. We have so many lovely memories of our good times together, especially the regular "get togethers" in our houses (only had to stagger across the road home!) and when you joined us in Spain each year, along with many other occasions. Sadly you were taken far too soon but you will not be forgotten. Rest in peace dearest Diane xx Steve & Tricia Greenman

Beautiful 'Miss Diane' (as I used to effectionally you), I just cannot believe I'm writing this and that you are gone from our lives. I too remember the day when we first met in the Budgens car park in sawbridgeworth of all places. You came up to ask if I was the lady who had just moved into No.39 and invited me round for coffee. From that day over 25 years ago, we became good friends and 'partners in crime'. I will always miss our girly lunches and fun we used to have - especially the charity lunch at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London that you arranged, I still laugh every time I think of it!!! Like so many others who's lives you touched, I will miss you terribly Diane. You were a fantastic, wonderful and caring friend and both Trevors and my heart go out to Kevin & Rowan who will miss you dreadfully. Heaven now has a beautiful Angel. RIP sweetheart ❤️❌❤️❌

Mr & Mrs Jennifer Mapp

Hit it off immediately Diane when I met you at Suzi and Mark's wedding and we talked often about meeting up for lunch. That didn't happen because of the Covid pandemic and now cannot believe you're gone. Such a beautiful person, inside and out. My heart goes out to your lovely daughter and husband. Rest in Peace lovely lady xx

My Dearest Friend Diane I remember when we first met on the 1st day of school for our lovely girls (Rowan+My Sophie) we bonded straight away and became the best of friends and so did our girls. I have such amazing memories of those special years and they will remain in my heart forever.. Your thoughtfulness and kindness of others always came first..even when we last spoke you were still upbeat and we were arranging getting together even though you were not feeling so good. Life can be so cruel and taking you from us too early seems so unkind and unfair. I will cherish our friendship and memories forever. As a good friend I will look out for Kevin and Rowan who I know were your world. That is a promise. Until we meet again, I will carry you in my heart and cherish all our special memories of one of the best chapters in my life… God bless Suzi ❤️
