Mr Bernard Mulvany

In memory of Bernie

16.09.1929 - 16.08.2021

Beth, Stephanie, Mark & Brendan would like to raise money for Parkinson’s UK in lieu of flowers.

This awful disease ravaged him in the last months of his life.  It made us aware that there is a considerable amount of research still to be done.

Bernie will be remembered for being ‘one of a kind’, but always a loving father, husband, partner, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.

He loved us all x

Charity details

Parkinson's Disease Society Of The United Kingdom

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time.

The number of people diagnosed with Parkinson's in the UK is about 145,000. That's around 1 adult in every 350.

People with Parkinson's don't have enough of the chemical dopamine because some of the nerve cells that make it have died.

There are lots of different treatments, therapies and support available to help manage the condition.

Our researchers are working hard to develop new and better treatments - and one day a cure.

Messages of condolence

We first met Bernie when we held our daughter's wedding reception in his hotel (1983). Lina and I then lived close to him in Thorley Lane East from 1991 until we moved in 2018. He was a good friend, great company and we shall remember him (and his cars) with love and great affection. Lina and John Loadman (late of 1,Thorley Place Cottages)
