With fond memories of a true gentleman.

Mrs. Ruth Newman

Roger (Sir John!) Thank you for all the wonderful and amazing, happy times we shared. You were a mentor, confidante and treasured friend. You enriched my life as you did countless others. Your zest for life was infectious. Your love for the world and what it offered unsurpassable. Your kindness and generosity boundless. A light has gone out of my life but my memories of you and our happy holidays will stay with me until we meet again. Keep the champagne chilled! “Mustn’t give in’”Much Love. Andrew

Mr Andrew Kenyon

We are so sorry to hear of Rogers passing. Roger was my neighbour for 5 years. He was the most kindest, lovely man, he always knew what to say at the right time, he was so kind to my daughter who was a very noisy baby when I became his neighbour! He was so knowledgeable and I used to love our chats. My now 10 year old was so fond of him. He never forgot us even we moved up the road. We still would chat when we passed his cottage and he always sent us lovely messages in our Christmas cards right up to 2020 we have kept them all. We will remember his special voice and talk fondly of him for years to come, a very unique and special man I felt so privalaged to have known.
