Alzheimer's Society

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.

We know it is scary facing up to it, but we must confront the biggest health and social care challenge of our time.

Thanks to your support, Alzheimer’s Society is facing dementia head on. Whether you’re a fundraiser, donor, partner, or affected by dementia in any way, we’re working with you to build a movement. Inspired by your voices, we’re leading the way in support, society and research.

As the largest and most influential dementia charity in the UK, we are calling on everyone to unite. Working together we know we will achieve our vision - a world without dementia.

Mrs rosalind s HEYWOOD

Dearest David and family, You and Rita have been very important members of our community of friends since our move to Stortford in 2014. I shall never forget Rita's gentleness, grace and good humour at our devotional meetings. Her indomitable strength in the wake of her lifechanging accident and subsequent recovery, her resolute determination to remain content in the face of difficulties, her calm acknowledgment after her diagnosis of dementia and her passion for her religious faith shall always remain with us and colour her memory. In our prayers Semira, Brian, Delara and Shadeh.

Mrs Semiramis Sohrabian-Bailey

David and family, Rita lived a life full of determination and kindness, a good spirit, a life well-lived. She will be remembered in so many happy memories and her book will be a lasting legacy. Our condolences, Sue and Jonathan

Remembering Rita over many years.. Keith and Stephanie

Mr Keith McDowall

In recognition of the tender love that my former husband (Colin Kellam) and myself had for Rita. The many fun times, holidays and laughter that we shared, not forgetting the G&T's in Little Argent and the burp at the Danube! Hopefully Rita and Colin will continue their friendship wherever they are together. In the words of the old cliche, gone but never forgotten . . .
