Mrs Yvonne Hunter

Yvonne lived life to the full and loved to laugh. She was a devoted wife and mother, a loving daughter, an amazing sister, a great aunt and an incredible friend. She was selfless to the core and helped hundreds of people in her line of work as a therapist, having a great impact on many people’s lives.

Sadly Yvonne was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in February 2022. She received great care from the staff at MacMillan Cancer Support at University College London Hospital and Isabel Hospice in Welwyn Garden City, where she passed away on 1 May 2023 aged 61. They truly were like real life angels.

We would therefore welcome donations to either of these great charities in the knowledge that the money raised will help others in need of support and care.

Ms Nicki and Chris Bazlinton

My heartfelt condolences on the loss of Yvonne. The last time I saw her she was at the Tennis Club in September, which was also the day my dad passed away. She gave me a big hug and comforted me, which was so much appreciated. We ended up chatting for quite a while and she was full of hope that the treatment had worked. I dont think many people knew of her cancer diagnosis at the club as it did come as a complete shock to me, such a lovely lady and great fun. She will be sorely missed, especially on a Sunday morning when she would turn up to play social tennis with her husband Michael. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.

Miss Stefanie Steil
