16th August 1961 - 24th July 2023
Bev, a beloved wife, our darling mother and kindest of friends passed away peacefully in her sleep on 24th July following her short but brave battle with cancer.
Our hearts break completely for mum, she was too young and had so much more love to give. She was the strongest, most selfless person who taught us all patience and compassion. She has shown the three of us the meaning of family, building us the most magical home, nurturing and loving us fiercely.
We know her passing will leave so much emptiness in so many peoples lives. She brought so much happiness and was our hero.
It was the hardest of goodbyes, with mum being diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, and then taken from us within a month. She could barely process it and it sent us all into despair. It is such a cruel illness, that has no cure and had spread to many places within her body, leaving us all completely helpless. It is also virtually undetectable until it’s too late.
Mum’s good health and fitness meant that she fought incredibly hard for us, with her being in Hong Kong with us in February and Abu Dhabi with her best friend in May. She never complained, never made a fuss and even up until her very last days, when the Doctors would ask “How are you today, Bev?”, she’d reply “I’m alright”. All of this when the cancer was taking her, each day, for maybe over a year.
Mum asked for donations towards helping fight this cancer, as always, to help other people.
She never put her head down, felt sorry for herself and was more worried about her boys than her own situation. Perfect is a big word, but she embodied it in every way to us.
On the night before she passed, we wheeled her bed outside and the sun shone for our gorgeous mum and she smiled back as the sun warmed her skin. That was the last sunset for mum.
We’ll love her deeply forever. It’s not goodbye.
Your boys x

We were so privileged to have met Bev & Gary in the early 90’s as neighbours. Pre-children, the four of us had some great adventures and became the best of friends. Bev took on the mantle of becoming a Mum with glowing pride, with her boys becoming her’s and Gary’s world. Over thirty years on and we can’t grasp the fact that she’s gone - there were so many more adventures to be had. Bev, to see you surrounded by such tender love and devotion from Gary, Jack & Ben (not forgetting little Charlie) brings comfort. You’ll be forever in our hearts, our dear friend. Sweet dreams beautiful lady. With all our love - Sarah & Nigel xx

Bev You were my World, my Inspiration, my Forever, my Everything, my Wife. You gave us everything you could and you asked for very little, you helped but would hardly accept help, you were the kindest person I ever knew and was so happy with what you had, our home our boys and Charlie. I wanted more for you but you neither wanted or needed it and it’s now I fully understand that what we had was more than most will experience ever and you were happy. You made me, Jack & Ben the centre of your life and we were all so proud of calling you my wife & their mum. You were incredible and your love and memories will live on forever with us all. These words account for a tiny bit of how great you were and how I feel about you, I told you a million times how much I love you and will continue to forever. See you soon Chicken x💔x
