Mr John William Drake

Our dear brother passed away on 26thAugust 2023 aged 77 years.

Many may know John as the owner of John Winter Drake - Watchmaker and Jewellers, which was situated in Halstead's High Street for over 40 years.

The business had been passed over to him by our parents when they retired.

Living in Halstead, John was an active member and supporter of the local community.

In his youth he was a Scout Leader in Coggeshall, he also set up and was an active member of a local Canoe Club.

He loved walking and being near water, and he absolutely adored his rescue dog.

The love of his dog is why he has requested donations to the RSPCA to continue to support their work rather than to receive floral tributes - thank you.

While our elder brother John is deeply missed we have wonderful memories of him.
