The Welbeloved Club

The Welbeloved Club was founded in 2017 by Jo Gill, with the aim of providing companionship to those who need it most over a tasty two-course hot lunch.

The Club is named after and pays tribute to Jo’s Great-Grandma Doris Welbeloved who, after a number of strokes, spent the remainder of her living years on her own due to being relocated.

The Welbeloved Club welcomes and encourages people who are living on their own and feeling lonely or socially isolated to join.

What a lovely, kind and friendly neighbour Len and his late wife was. We enjoyed many conversations over the years where Len & Ellen were part of our neighbourhood family. We've been lucky enough to oversee their fabulous and meticulously tendered garden over may years which always sparked delightful conversation. We will miss Len, but the memories of such a lovely neighbour will surely live on.
