We provide social and educational activities for people of all ages with learning disability: to develop their potential, avoid social isolation by supporting lifelong friendships and to provide respite for their families.
We accept members from all over Hertfordshire, Essex and surrounding counties. If you can get to Grove Cottage you are welcome to come along.
Grove Cottage is a registered charity managed by a board of Trustees with a wealth of experience of special needs and education.
Through a range of direct and indirect services Herts Vision Loss has the mission to serve the county’s estimated population of 22,000 people with severe and permanent sight loss. This number is set to rise to 32,000 by 2020, according to the Royal National Institute for the Blind. The Society has up to 6,000 consultations/contacts with visually impaired people, their family members and carers annually.
Doreen, you were one in a million, so kind, loyal and good natured. You showed by example how to be a loving wife, mother and grandmother. So proud, as you should be, of your lovely family. With a desire to live life to the full. A true inspiration to all Christians. Thank you for your friendship over the past forty-six years. I miss you deeply and will continue to bless you goodnight whilst listening to Sailing By. The world is a sadder place without you, but your kindness will live forever in many peoples hearts. Xx
