My memories of Aunty Marjorie are very much 40+ years ago, at family parties with Uncle Ron, and god they did laugh a lot. A very glamourous and stylish lady in her youth, a fur coat, pearls, perfume, bold lipstick, and not a hair out of place. She was always very kind to me.

Growing up down the road, Mrs Partidge, (always Mrs Partridge to me!), put up with countless invasions and unannounced visits from my brother and I. Always kind and welcoming and as warm as the fire that we used to sit in front of drinking tea. It was really home from home. Even the pets were signed up to the family ethos of being friendly and charming. Fat cats and perky budgies all added to the joy.
Thank you for putting up with us Mrs P and for shepherding such a lovely family.
If I close my eyes I can still hear and see you in and around the house in Kings Road. I am sure that will stay with me.
