Richard Evans
25.01.1958 - 07.02.2025
Richard Evans was a proud father, generous friend and charismatic publican. He was born at his family home in Feltham, Middlesex to Jean and Howard Evans, and big brother John. Richard was a keen darts player, fisherman and the life of every party. He read Maths at The University of Southampton, but more fondly remembered running the student bar! He married Sue Chong in 1988, and they had their son, Michael in 1990, and their daughter Charlotte in 1995. Richard went on to have multiple successful careers as a fashion buyer, restaurant business owner, and publican. For the past ten years, he lived in the heart of Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, and was loved by the community for his charm and generosity running the King William IV.
His children Charlotte and Michael would like to thank everyone for their kind support in this difficult time and welcome charitable donations in dad’s name to The Canal and River Trust who look after the waterways where he loved to walk and fish.
