A huge loss of a unique wonderful human being x

David and I were two cheeky ginger-haired cousins growing up in the East End, united by family, fun and a love for Arsenal. Life took us on different paths we but we kept in touch throughout. We both made great marriages and whenever we all met it was full of fun and enjoyment. I lost my Janet a few years ago so I feel Denise's grief deeply. Rest in peace, David, you will be sadly missed.
Mr Dennis Leyhane

I'm not good with words and never know what to say at a time like this. However, I feel I have to say that Dave will be sorely missed. Dave was known by various names around here; "Dave the Fish", "Mr Jazz", or just "Big Dave". It was always a pleasure to share time with him as his jolly demeanor and warm heart always shone through. He has nleft a hole that will never be filled. Rich.

To my cousin David it’s hard to believe that you’re no longer here smiling and making everyone happy and the world seem a brighter place. Bobby and I had a lovely lunch at yours not so long ago and both you and Denise made us feel so welcome. Hard to believe that neither you or Bobby are here now. May you rest peacefully and look down on us as we celebrate your amazing life. Sending love to you from my family.
Mrs Valerie Wiles
What a dear friend and neighbour. We first bonded over our mutual love of Arsenal and Annette and I have wonderful memories of your very kind hospitality and sitting in your beautiful garden, laughing with you, with jazz playing in the background - such happy times. Our very sincere condolences to Denise. Annette & John

From Australia: Messaging 9,000 miles away from Woodford Green. Sadness on the physical passing of my English brother-in-law, Dave Lewzey – in the full knowledge that ‘big Dave’ is viewing all of this with his well-beloved South-London wit & super engaging smile, having a good laugh on us! – what a good bloke eh! I met Dave on his very first of many visits to Australia, and I had the fortune of staying with Dave and Non at Monkhams for a short time in 1980. Dave mate, a better husband my sister could not have had! A clearly demonstrated deep Love between Dave & Non. RIP big fella. (And I will now tell Non about you cutting the electric cord when you were trimming the front hedge in June 1980! miss ya mate, Blue.)
