Alzheimer's Society

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.

We know it is scary facing up to it, but we must confront the biggest health and social care challenge of our time.

Thanks to your support, Alzheimer’s Society is facing dementia head on. Whether you’re a fundraiser, donor, partner, or affected by dementia in any way, we’re working with you to build a movement. Inspired by your voices, we’re leading the way in support, society and research.

As the largest and most influential dementia charity in the UK, we are calling on everyone to unite. Working together we know we will achieve our vision - a world without dementia.

Messages of condolence

Archie was a lovely friend and neighbour and a mind of information and great stories and enabled me to relive my childhood with trips to the wood , feeding his birds and coppicing the wood. We will always remember him fondly.

My darling Dad, Papa to my daughters. I miss you more and more each day, I feel numb. I feel so proud that you ARE my Dad. I am in awe of your extensive knowledge, intellect, skill as a gunsmith and in construction, devotion and love for your family and true love for mum... I could go on... and on. These things I will never forget, nor will I forget how Farleigh Hopice came when you were vulnerable and we didnt know where to turn. They enabled you to receive the best possible care and those amazing human beings at Colne View gave it, to you and us, with loving kindness, They treated you with dignity and respect when vascular dementia and alzheimers did its worst. Farleigh Hospice and alzheimers society deserve our help so they can help more families, just like ours. Thank you. Janine
