Deepest condolences from all at the Hertfordshire Harriers Disabled Cricket Club. Jan set up the Harriers 25 years ago, together with the help of Alan and their family. So many people have benefitted from their kindness and hard work over the years and we are all very sorry to hear of the loss of such a great man.

My brother Alan was without question the kindest, most generous man I have ever had the good fortune to share my life with. He was someone who gave his time and care to everyone. From the day he was born, he brought joy into our lives. He was devoted to his family, who repaid him with total devotion. Alan asked for nothing for his kindness, he was just a lovely kind soul who got pleasure from helping those who needed help. I loved Alan from the day he was born until the day he left us. We will always be together in my heart. I love you mate. xxx

Will miss you ya big T#sser! 😢 Thanks for always believing in me and your advice especially when it came to football. I could sit and talk to you for hours about it and we usually did. 😁 My happiest times playing football were for you. You helped me more than you would know and I always tried to install your values in to any team I coached. You were an absolute legend and loved by so many. Until we meet again mate 💔💔

To my dear kind, caring brother, who meant the world to me and my family. I was so proud of the man you were - loved by all who knew you. I will always remember that twinkle in your eye and beaming smile, the big bear hugs and, of course, the teasing! As you would say Alan, love you lots. From Carol, Philip and Family ❤

In loving memory of Alan who will be so missed by all of us who have been fortunate to know him over the years. I feel immensely sad that we hadn’t seen Alan for a few years. I shall always cherish the memories I have as cousins joining Alan and his family on holiday; his cheeky personality and lovely smiley face which I remember so well; all those competitive ball games we all had on the beach which were such fun and enjoyed especially by Alan if I recall. Such special moments in latter years when all the family got together remembered with affection. My deepest condolences go out to Jan and all his family at this extremely sad time. Sending all our love, Elaine and Steven xxx

Alan Dyer? What can I say about a guy who was one of the happiest and kindest people to be around, with an infectious sense of humour and heart of gold. Alan to me was like a second dad and I grew up with him and Mark sharing wonderful sporting moments and then also great times in our everyday lives, together we have created memories that I will cherish forever. I want to say thanks Alan for being You always and I’m sure even though I can’t be there for the send off 😢 the amount of people that will be there will be a show of how loved and cherished you were, not only by your family but also everyone that knew you 🫶🏻 Love you always ya big T#sser ❤️
