Our volunteers play an integral and valuable role in the daily running of our hospital.

We are very proud of our dedicated volunteers who support our people, our patients and their families in a variety of non-clinical roles.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, aged 17 and over, who are compassionate, independent and enthusiastic. In return, we provide a wide range of exciting opportunities to meet others, learn new skills and most importantly, to make a difference to the lives of our patients and our people.

We send our love to all the Stirrup family as you grieve the loss of dear Irene. Not only was Irene devoted to you, her family, but infectiously shone with love and devotion to her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We shall be forever thankful to God for the love shown to us and our family from Irene and her late husband George, welcoming us as a family to their home on many occasions for friendship and fellowship, encouraging us as we grew in our Christian faith. Only the Christmas before last we had a surprise phone call from Helen to say they were in the area and Irene wanted to call in to see us. We hadn’t seen Irene for many years, but, in her early 90s, she still shone with the same joy and love of the Lord Jesus – it was a very precious time together and one we treasure. That was the last time we saw Irene here on earth. She is now with her Saviour, fully enjoying His presence and peace. Much love to you all Chris & Christine Priddle
