Mum was a keen dog and animal lover. She donated generously to a local dogs charity for many years and to the RSPCA.
As you may be aware, although an unlikely sailor, mum sailed quite a lot...generally in the direction of the sun, and only on an even keel.
She availed herself of the services of the RNLI on at least one occasion, but then so did her son Julian!
Although his long-term recall remained intact, dad did have trouble with his short term memory in his latter years. Let’s hope for some advances with Alzheimer’s research and treatment soon.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the largest charity that saves lives at sea around the coasts of the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, as well as on some inland waterways

Dear Julian and family,
It was good to see you last Tuesday at your Mum's Celebration of Life.
We will miss dropping in to see your mum and dad on our drive up to Norfolk, but will be thinking of the good times shared with them.
Keep in touch,
Love and best wishes,
Robin and Roger
