Mrs Pamela Brown

In memory photo Pamela Brown.jpg

Pamela sadly passed away at home on 14th April 2026 with her family by her bedside.

She had been diagnosed with auto immune hepatitis, a liver condition, in 2013.  It had been managed with steroids in the intervening years until March this year when the liver disease progressed to liver failure. Despite the best efforts of the doctors at The Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, they were unable to reverse the liver failure.  Treatment is a liver transplant but Pamela was too frail to be offered one.  Pamela was so brave and courageous over the past six years of her life living with multiple serious health issues.

During her final weeks at home, the palliative care nurses from Isabel Hospice provided Pamela and her family with exceptional care, kindness and support.

Pamela was a dearly loved wife, mum, sister, nanny, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many.  She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family has chosen British Liver Trust and Isabel Hospice as charities people might like to support in Pamela's memory.

Mrs Marjorie Offord

Our friendship with Pamela & Keith goes back over sixty years and we have seen them raise and nurture a lovely and loving family, and we have also seen Pamela's courage and fortitude in facing the many challenges of recent years, and our thoughts are with their family. at this time. Our now grown up children have many happy memories of early family get-togethers. May Pamela now rest in peace, content in the knowledge of a life well lived, and stay in our hearts and memories forever. Ruth, Richard, Jonathan, Alice and Rachel.
