It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Marie Porter, who passed away on the 25th April aged 89.

Violet was a beloved wife to Brian, and is survived by her sister Dorothy, her three daughters Deborah, Jennifer and Caroline, and by granddaughters Freya, Ingrid and Gretchen.

Violet’s funeral will take place at 2pm on Wednesday 20th May at St John’s Church, Church Lane, Loughton, Essex, IG10 1PD.

This will be followed directly afterwards by a wake at The Victoria Tavern, 165 Smarts Lane, Loughton IG10 4BP, to which all are warmly welcomed to join and celebrate Violet’s life. Food will be served.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the RNLI and St Clare Hospice.

Violet was a remarkable woman, full of life, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Your life was a blessing,

Your memory a treasure,

You are loved beyond words

And missed beyond measure.
