Dear Jane I remember meeting you when Nathaniel and Joe became great friends at secondary. I always felt that you were a very special person who exuded warmth and caring. I know that Nathaniel very much felt this too. Our thoughts are with your loved ones. May they find solace in the many memories they hold in their hearts. Sincerest condolences to your family. On behalf of the North East London Cancer Alliance, I would like to express our sincere condolences. Jane was an outstanding patient representative and was instrumental in the co-development of the Early Diagnosis Centre (EDC), a pioneering service that was a forerunner to today’s Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs). She brought invaluable insight, dedication and a strong patient voice to the development of services, helping to ensure that the needs and experiences of patients remained at the heart of our work. Her generosity with her time, thoughtful contributions and unwavering commitment to improving care were greatly appreciated by all who worked with her. She made a lasting difference, and her contribution will continue to be felt through the many patients who benefit from the services she helped to shape. Jane will be remembered with great respect, gratitude and affection. Angela Wong Chief Medical Officer North East London Cancer Alliance
