. Norma Jackson

Norma Christine Jackson, 15 March 1954 – 22 May 2026

Norma was a very loved person. Like her mother before her, she was born and educated in Sawbridgeworth. Norma became a mother to three children, an aunt, a wife, a grandmother to three more children, and a great-aunt. Norma was also a daughter, a niece, a great-niece and a granddaughter; a beloved friend. She looked after others’ children in different capacities; as a child-minder, working in schools, and also opened her heart and her home to a young person from Romania.

Norma was kind and loving. She had a deep affinity with music and the sea, passions which she has passed on to her children and grandchildren. Norma struggled with ill mental health, and was not able to overcome these struggles fully. But she spent her final years safe and well-cared for, enjoying her favourite music to the end. We are thankful to Marc Bolan, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant among others for bringing her so much joy.

Norma experienced peace at the end of her life and a gentle passing, and for this we are grateful.

Thank you for considering donating to Mind in memory of Norma Jackson.
