Alan played a significant role in the early days of Endomag, and the company would likely not have thrived without his guidance and support. His pragmatism and humour were always in balance, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I can only imagine the thousands, if not millions, of patients around the world that ultimately benefited from his support of the medical devices industry. I will miss him, and share my sincere condolences to Kath, Richard and Laura.

My family have known Alan, Kath and Richard and have been good friends with them for over 40 years. My late husband Paul met Alan through work, and it wasn’t long before our two families met up socially, alternating between our respective homes for the day. I will miss our regular get togethers and the lovely times we shared. I have many happy memories of a truly lovely man, and my thoughts and sincere condolences go to Kath, Richard and Laura xxx

A lovely insightful man, always a pleasure to talk to. He made a real contribution to the three medical device companies I was involved with.

"Tribute" is the word that comes to mind when I think of Alan Wenman. He was such an acute, clear-headed thinker. Always so calm and knowledgeable, he made the pragmatic remarkable and "do what is needed and no more" a work of art. He made it possible for me to navigate a pathway to successful medical device translation for which I am truly and forever grateful. He is sorely missed. Deep condolences to Kath, Richard and Laura, and I am very sad to be unable to make it to the Celebration of Life service. Best wishes, Quentin.

I have many fond memories of Alan but never had the opportunity to socialise with him. I bet he was superb company! In his professional life he was the ultimate professional, extremely knowledgeable but above all pleasant and kind, particularly to people like me with negligible experience of medical device regulation. It has been a long learning curve! MDM is a fabulous family business and I hope you gain some comfort from recognising the legacy Alan leaves behind through the business. A very short retirement for Alan, let's hope Kath can eventually find the strength to enjoy a much longer fulfilling retirement without her rock by her side. My very best wishes to you all.
Mr Julian Holmes
I had the privilege of knowing and working with Alan for several years while developing a medical device, and I honestly feel that his expertise, understanding, patience, vision, and humanity were the reason we ultimately were successful. Working with him (and Richard) was always a calm and productive experience, as Alan could always sort out the essence of any solution. The impact of his work will continue to be felt through the countless patients who will benefit from the medical instruments he helped bring to life. Alan will be remembered with gratitude, admiration, and deep respect. I will miss him, both personally and professionally, and wish his family peace and healing.
