I have known Ted since the days of NELP and we always enjoyed a laugh and (quite often) a beer when we met. My wife, Rosemary, and I enjoyed many of the Players productions (and a beer afterwards). It was Ted who introduced us to the vegetable steamer and we have used one ever since and always think of him as we get the steamer out. He was a lovely man and it was a pleasure to have known him. He will be sadly missed.
Mr Geoffrey Healing
Ted was a true gentleman who will be missed by everyone who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
Mr Chris Hardaker
I worked with Ted for a number of years when he was a member of the Tower Hamlets ICV (Independent Custody Visitors) Panel - which he often Chaired and represented on the Londonwide body. He was a delight to know and always so calm, sensible and reliable, and very humorous. A lovely guy.
Mr Mike Dodsworth
Dear Ted, I've chosen the RNLI as it was a charity close to my father's heart too. I looked on you as a naughty, but caring uncle with risque jokes and a permanent twinkle in the eye during the Players performances. I remember you cooking for Derek, Mick and me in Shadwell and there were peas in your lasagne. A very individual recipe indeed! One splendid occasion of many. Rest well in peace after a long life when you were much loved. Helen

I have so many happy memories of seeing and speaking with Ted at the wonderful Mystery Plays: He always so kind and charming. Rest in Peace.
