As one of the leading organisations in this field, our work is vital to thoroughbred welfare. We provide a lifeline for horses who need time to adjust to a life after racing.

Messages of condolence

A life taken too soon. RIP Tim. x

Mrs Christine Watkins

We were so sad to hear of the passing of one of our very loved regulars. He would always cycle down to us Saturday and Sunday, newspaper in hand, ready to have his horse racing bets done. It was such a familiar part of our days, and the pub just won’t feel quite the same without him. He really was one of a kind, and it was such a privilege to have known him and shared so many lovely moments with him. Our thoughts are with Tim’s family and friends. Rest in peace Tim. We all miss you more than you will ever know. From everyone at The Three Horse Shoes Hazel End

Such a terrible loss of one so loved xxx

Mrs Jacqueline Skudder

We were so sorry to hear about Tim’s death. We both have fond memories of Tim. He always seemed such an upbeat person who saw the best in others. Ian very much enjoyed meeting Tim when he stayed with Chris whilst working in the area and I have very fond memories of our holidays in Loughborough playing pitch and putt together and visits to Twycross zoo. I have a particular affiliation with the racehorse retirement charity chosen in rememberance of Tim’s life having owned an ex- racehorse for 15 very happy years. Our thoughts will very much be with everyone at Tim’s rememberance service tomorrow and wish we could have attended. With all of our best wishes, Debbie and Ian x

I have some very fond memories of Tim who I knew for over 40 years. He leaves a lasting legacy at Brentwood Cricket Club which is the Victorians side of which he can be very proud.
