The true definition of the word gentleman. Many happy memories of having bowling lessons in the garage (was always raining), to enjoying lunches at the Toby or their home. Will be greatly missed.

My Husband, Billy and I offer our sincere condolences at this sad time for your family. I worked with Derrick for many years and he was one of the kindest people I knew.
Mrs Brenda Webb
I was articled to Derrick when I trained as a solicitor at Attwater & Liell and he was always very kind and supportive to me. I became a partner in the firm soon after qualifying and therefore Derrick and I were partners in the firm together for many years. He was a person of great integrity and always put the interests of his clients first. He set me a great example! After he retired we remained in touch and saw him and Eleanor quite a few times after they moved to Braintree. This was always a great pleasure. We would talk about many things, including Canada where one of our sons and his family now live. My wife, Liz, and I offer our condolences to all the family at this time of your very sad loss.
Mr David Kerry
