None of us will ever forget Richard ‘Flipper’ Raffill who was so unexpectedly taken from us on 13th October 2020 at just 41 years old.
Richard was a man who did not do things by halves – a force of nature with a charisma, energy, ambition, and courage that knew no limits.
With his infectious laugh, he had the power to find humour in any situation and draw us closer to him. A constant joker; an unerring support to so many, personally and professionally; a fiercely loyal and protective friend; a loving and devoted husband and an utterly besotted father.
Richard’s family meant everything to him – his Mum Vivienne, his wife Joanne and their three beautiful children. Having the opportunity to watch Poppy, Olly and Rory grow up will keep Richard alive in all our hearts. Richard, we all miss you so much already and are grateful for having known you. Thank you.
South Tees Hospitals Charity And Associated Funds, ICU
South Tees Hospitals Charity raises funds to enhance the services that South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides. The role of the charity is not to fund patient care but to improve it and help with those extras over and above what the NHS can provide.
