Alzheimer's Society

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.

We know it is scary facing up to it, but we must confront the biggest health and social care challenge of our time.

Thanks to your support, Alzheimer’s Society is facing dementia head on. Whether you’re a fundraiser, donor, partner, or affected by dementia in any way, we’re working with you to build a movement. Inspired by your voices, we’re leading the way in support, society and research.

As the largest and most influential dementia charity in the UK, we are calling on everyone to unite. Working together we know we will achieve our vision - a world without dementia.

Ms Linda Winstanley

For the relatively short time that we knew Norman, we enjoyed his company and friendship. He was always kind, thoughtful and generous, with a twinkle that showed his love of life. The Cafe Rouge in Loughton was a regular haunt and we shared several lunches with his favourite beer automatically delivered by the staff, who knew him well over the last few years he lived in Forest Road. Our last visit was for his 90th birthday in 2020 before Covid struck. He will always be remembered with fondness and is sadly missed.

Mr & Mrs Peter and Claire Dyson

To dear Norman a true gentleman always with a twinkle in his eye.

A lovely man in all senses of the word.

Mr & Mrs Andrew and Carol Platt
